Ardagh Brownies hosting a Taster Night on Thursday, January 31

Ardagh Brownies are having a Taster Night on Thursday, January 31 for any girls aged between 7 and 10 years old to come along and see what happens at a Brownies meeting.

Brownies have been running in Ardagh for over 15 years and have had many girls pass through it's doors from Ardagh, Kenagh, Colehill, Edgeworthstown and all the surrounding areas.

Brownies follow a three-year programme that capitalises on this age group’s love of adventure and challenge.

Brownies are detectives, discovering new things about themselves and the world they live in as they complete Interest Badges and collect their three Journey Badges – Detect, Investigate and Explore.

Activities aim to develop team-building and problem-solving skills while promoting inclusion and empathy. Growing independence is reflected in opportunities for Brownie overnight holidays and camps.

Ardagh is lucky enough to have recruited very enthusiastic new Leaders for the new year who are looking forward to introducing your 7-10 year to lots of new adventures!

Why not come along and experience the taster meeting this Thursday and see if it interests you! New Leaders/volunteers always welcome! Ardagh Community Centre, Thursday, January 31 from 6.15pm to 7.30pm.

Call or Text Joanna on 086 237 2616 for further information or visit our Facebook page @ArdaghGirlGuides.
