A musical adaptation of Longford’s world renowned comic masterpiece, 'Castle Rackrent' will be staged in the Backstage Theatre this weekend on November 8, 9 and 10, with the show kicking off every night at 8pm sharp.

The production celebrates 250 years since the birth of Longford literary heroine, Maria Edgeworth.

A hilarious, raucous tale, full of music and dancing, 'Castle Rackrent' is based on Ireland's greatest forgotten novel, written in Edgeworthstown just as the rebellion of 1798 was raging.

For tickets, call the Backstage Theatre box office on 043 33 47888 or visit www.backstage.ie to book online.
