Celebrate Culture Night in Longford

Celebrate Culture Night in Longford

Culture Night is fast approaching and Longford has a rather unique offering for this year’s festivities.

To mark the occasion, Dr Finbar Platypus and his associates will present ‘Urban Triptych’ at the Market Square, Longford this Friday evening, September 16.

Taking place from 6pm until 9pm, the event has been described as a fusion of urban tropes, including rap, spoken word and graffiti art.

Focusing on emerging visual and music artists from the local area, ‘Urban Triptych’ will see performances by local rappers and recording artists Evans Junior and Ama, while visual artists Phil Atkinson, Gerard Keaveney and Ciaran Quinn will be creating three art pieces live in the Square.

Kindly supported by County Longford Arts Office, Urban Triptych is free, wheelchair accessible and child friendly.
