Submissions open for Winter Writing

After a brief hiatus, the popular New Longford Writing feature is set to make its way back to our pages this month.

After a brief hiatus, the popular New Longford Writing feature is set to make its way back to our pages this month.

This time around, instead of running weekly, the page will be a monthly feature in the Weekender.

For the next two months, and for the season that’s in it, we are inviting writers from all over Co Longford to submit winter-themed poetry and prose.

Works of maximum length 1,000 words, should be accompanied by a photograph, either of the writer or something related to the piece. Writers will also be requested to submit a short bio alongside their works.

Submissions can be sent by email to aoife.carberry@longfordleader.ie or by post to Aoife Carberry, Longford Leader, Leader House, Dublin Road, Longford. For more information, call 043 33 45241.
