MB Coy’s will be one of the places to be in Longford this Easter bank holiday weekend, where some top class live entertainment is set to be showcased.
The festivities will get underway on Thursday night when local favourite Paschal Flaherty will be joined by many friends from the entertainment scene. We can expect to see his son Davy, Liz Leavy and maybe the great Sean Hussey joining him on stage. Paschal always puts on a great show and this performance should be the perfect start to your Easter.
One of the big attractions in Longford on Easter Saturday night will be Gorrilla Radio, a Rage Against the Machine tribute act which has been leaving a heavy footprint wherever they play. Keeping the theatrics simple and to a minimum serves to keep the focus on the energy and talent of the musicians, providing an experience Rage fans appreciate and rockers at large flock to.
Gorrilla Radio delivers the guts, ability and attitude that are absolutely required of a Rage tribute, quite possibly one of the hardest acts there is to successfully pull off.
Guerrilla Radio is doing it right, as evidenced by their recent pack-em-in shows both here and overseas. Their performances are a great slice of Rage done right. The band has been together for over two years now and have already built up a huge following all over the country.
The tempo won’t be slowing down either, as on Sunday night another top live act will be visiting. Dance-On will have the house rocking as they blast out some classic favourites.
Easter Monday always tends to be a relaxing one after the excitement of the weekend, but the festivities will continue with another local favourite, Fran Deffew, on stage from 7pm to 9pm. One of the top balladeers on the circuit at the moment, Fran is the perfect finale to a great Easter weekend at MB Coy’s.
