Renowned comedian, Des Bishop is set to rock the region when he takes to the stage at Carrick-on-Shannon’s Bush Hotel on Friday, November 9 next. Following on from a series of sell-out shows last year, the popular comedian is back on course to have Irish audiences laughing out loud with his brand new show - ‘Des Bishop Likes to Bang’.

The gig features the US born comedian behind a drum kit amongst other things and audiences can expect to be treated to Bishop’s famously warm, honest presenting style as his restless imagination becomes evident once again.

His last show, ‘My Dad Was Nearly James Bond’ was a worldwide hit and provided the comedian with the opportunity to work closely with his father before his untimely death from a terminal illness.

Bishop is well known for his TV exploits as well. Hits include The Des Bishop Work Experience (2004); Joy in the Hood (2006) and the award winning comedy documentary series In the Name of the Fada (2008) which saw the American born funny man spend time in the Gaeltacht as he persevered to learn the Irish language.
