Moyne native to launch new video

Larry Beau is set to launch his third album at the Gonzo Theatre, Cavan this coming Friday, March 25 at 9.30pm.

Larry Beau is set to launch his third album at the Gonzo Theatre, Cavan this coming Friday, March 25 at 9.30pm.

Entitled ‘William the Brave’, this latest venture from the Galway singer features ten songs from the folk opera of the same name; a mixture of hymns, operatic choruses and cowboys laments.

On the launch night a music video will also be unveiled, which was directed by Moyne native, Siobhan Cassidy. The setting for the music video was on the enchanted shores of Lough Oughter, at Trinity Island Killeshandra.

Siobhan was assisted in her endeavours by Sally O Dowd (Killeshandra, Cavan) , art department and Siobhan Harton (Mullahoran, Cavan) costume and make up department. It was shot by up and coming cinematograher Padraig Connaty from Gowna.

Larry’s hybrid musical style and dramatic vocal approach has garnered him comparisons to Dylan, Kate Bush, Paul McCartney, Antony and the Johnsons, Odetta and Ennio Moricone.
