The finishing touches are being put to the eagerly anticipated Bruskey and Aughaloora Festival, which takes place this weekend, Friday 26 – Sunday 28 July.

The finishing touches are being put to the eagerly anticipated Bruskey and Aughaloora Festival, which takes place this weekend, Friday 26 – Sunday 28 July.

Mr and Mrs, hosted by Gerry Brady, will take place on Friday night at 8.30pm. This will be followed by live music from White Lightning, with dancing from 10.30pm – 2am.

Saturday will see competitors line out for a 5km run from Bruskey Church at 2.00pm, followed by a Duck Race on the River Erne at Bruskey Bridge. At 8pm, join in with the wedding of Daisy Cox and Willie Turner in Lacken Club Rooms followed by the reception in the Marquee Bruskey. At 11.00pm, come enjoy some live music from Chuck and June, ending with Band Begging.

A Tractor run will begin at 2.00pm on Sunday, and a family fun day with field events galore will take place from 2.00pm – 6.00pm. There is also music by Tommy and Pete at 5.00pm. Denim and Diamonds Country Night with Ally Harron and Marian Curry begins at 10pm, and a Blue Jean Country Queen and King will be crowned on the night. There will also be a raffle for spot prizes. Each night has a fully licensed bar til late.

This promises to be a great weekend of music and dancing, so why not come along and take part!
