Aidan Bishop is the headline act for the latest Longford Comedy Club at PVs Red Room this Saturday night (June 18), which returns this weekend after a hugely successful opening night last month.
Enda Whitney and Gary White in association with PV’s have put together another exciting line-up of comedians, including Greg Marks, Tom O’Mahoney, Kieran Lawless and Alison Spittle.
New Yorker Aidan Bishop has his unique style and outlook on life. He has headlined all over the world. And played at every major festival in the world. He also runs one of the country’s most successful comedy clubs, The International, with his brother Des for the past 10 years.
Greg Marks is described as being one of Ireland’s hardest working comedians, having played gigs the length and breadth of the country. He’s opened in such clubs as The Empire in Belfast and The Laughter Lounge Dublin.
In the past year Tom ‘The Bear’ O’Mahoney has flourished in the comedy world. A regular anywhere and everywhere across the country, the organisers say that this Tipp man will have you in tears.
Opening the night’s comedy will be Alison Spittle, who is regarded as one of the funniest comediennes working in Ireland.
Master of ceremonies for the night is Mayo native Kieran Lawless. He holds the record for being the only person to win The Nuthing Butt Funny Bulmers Competition on the first entry.
Doors open on Saturday night, June 18, at 8:30pm, with the show starting at 9.30pm. Entry is €10 and following the comedy, Shannonside’s DJ Micky K, is providing the musical entertainment afterwards in the form of a disco.
