Spread across two counties, this year’s Patsy Farrell Festival returns to the region this year, with a bigger event planned over a seven-day period in August.

A very successful launch of the Patsy Farrell Festival, more than 20 young musicians from Longford and Westmeath, was held with concert in the Aurora Hall, Legan, followed by a session in Mitchell’s pub, Legan.

The festival is being promoted as part of the Longford Gathering 2013, and takes place from August 1 – 7 in at least 17 venues throughout Longford and Westmeath (more to be announced).

The festival will open in Feerick’s, Rathowen on August 1, with a session led by Mick Foster, of Foster and Allen fame.
