Helium, the award-winning micro music festival based in Ballymahon, has announced more additions to its already impressive line-up.
The organisers have confirmed that Kila, O Emperor, Kopek, David Kitt and Mark Geary have all been added to the bill, as have Windings, The Ambience Affair, Liza Flume, Amazing Apples, Shannon and the Shortcuts, Drew de Four and Felix Sonnyboy Wilson. They join a list that already includes the likes of Mick Flannery, Fight Like Apes, Wallis Bird, Hermitage Green, and 30 other acts performing across three stages at Skelly’s in Ballymahon on June 8.
As 2013 is the year of The Gathering, Helium have taken this special opportunity to bring together an amazing collection of top Irish musicians and performers to celebrate all that is good about the domestic music scene from the grassroots right to the very top. This year also marks Helium’s fifth anniversary, and most importantly, five years of collecting money for a very worthy cause: Ataxia Ireland.
Helium takes place at Skelly’s, Ballymahon on Saturday, June 8. For more information and ticket sales, visit www.heliumfestival.com.
