On Friday May 25 The Space at The Dock series will host what will be one of the most memorable nights yet. Jeremy Hickey from Kilkenny city performs with a virtual band composed entirely of himself.
What RSAG (Rarely Seen Above Ground) does is perform live drums, percussion and vocals while virtual versions of himself playing bass, guitars, keyboards, etc. are projected around him and all in real time.
Influences and comparisons have included ESG, Talking Heads and Joy Division (post-punk), Chemical Brothers and Aphex Twin with a new flavour of Dub Step rhythms (electronica). RSAG has been making waves since 2008 with a seriously explosive live set and a double album release, ‘Organic Sampler’. This is the debut which received a 5-star review from the Irish Times as well as gaining a Choice Music Prize nomination in the same year. 2012 will see the release of a new EP and album.
This will be another excellent night in The Space at The Dock kicking off at 9pm and running until late. Tickets are €12/ €10 available on www.thedock.ie or in the box office 071 96 50828.
