The full line-up and stage times have been confirmed for the midlands favourite charity micro music festival. Among the fantastic acts to take to the stage are Ash, Delorentos, Duke Special, The Kanyu Tree, JAPE, Neon Wolf, Stephen Young and the Union, Icon on Fire, and Loyal Cuckoo. Check out the Helium website (www.heliumfestival.com) for a complete list of acts and stage times.
After the sell-out success of the Helium 2011 festival, punters are getting their tickets organised earlier this year and local sales have taken off rapidly. With the increase in demand for access to tickets, they are now available to buy online at www.tickets.ie for the bargain price of €40 plus online booking fee.
Helium is a fundraiser festival, and money raised goes to a great cause, Ataxia Ireland. Tickets can also be purchased at a number of outlets across the midlands, namely Rochfort’s Music in Mullingar; Music World in Athlone; The Music Centre in Longford and Skelly’s Bar in Ballymahon.
It is the fourth year of Longford’s favourite micro music festival which last year was headlined by Ireland’s latest success story, The Coronas, and drew 1,200 people from all over the country and overseas.
Lured in by the affordable ticket price and the great value package on offer, music lovers were treated to a fantastic line up over three stages, free BBQ food, free parking and access to nearby camping facilities. This year Helium 2012 promises to be no different.
This year, there is an added element of fun with the Ballymahon Traders Association event – the Helium 10k Challenge. This is a fun run that will take place on the morning of the festival (June 9) to fund-raise even more for the great cause that is Ataxia Ireland. Log onto the Helium Facebook page to find out more.
