Ross McNerney is the Longford member of the band, who attended Moyne Community School, and plays mandolin and guitar for the three-piece band. Previously, he was in Brave Giant, and between the transition from Brave Giant to Amble, was teaching in St Mel’s, Longford. He had told the 'Longford Leader' last year that a man from Warner LA had seen a video on socials of Amble, which ultimately led to their successful career transition as a much-loved, global band.

In December, Amble released their last single of 2025, "The Rarest Hour". They had their biggest headliner show on December 4 in the 3Arena, which was said to have 13,000 people in attendance.

The announcement has received much support from his Instagram from fans and friends alike, which photographed the happy couple showing the ring in black-and-white, as well as a solo photo of Emma across the orange-hued countryside.
