Are content creators bringing interest into places like Longford?

Eoin Dolly, a content creator who explores Ireland, culture, and local history, stopped by Longford to produce “The Grave of an IRA General Seán MacEoin | The Blacksmith of Ballinalee”. The video is 11.30 minutes long.

“This video highlights the grave of Sean MacEoin in Ballinalee, his exploits during the War of Independence and his connections to Michael Collins. I also walked through the centre of Ballinalee, highlighting the old village layout and to the IRA memorial dedicated to the men of the area,” he said.

Eoin commented about what he loved about Longford:

“What I enjoyed most were the people, especially once I posted my videos. Most of the comments were of people inviting me back and giving me recommendations on where to go next and giving me local insights into the history of the area. People were genuinely happy to see their county and village in the videos. I got more of a positive response on these videos than on many others.”
