Longford's Shaunagh Connaire posts about success from film festival

Recently, Longford's Shaunagh Connaire's ‘Brown Bread’ had a US premiere at the San Jose International Film Festival in mid October. The film, which was produced by Julie Ryan, has been making waves across Ireland and now abroad.
Posting on her LinkedIn, Connaire wrote the following:

“I wasn't sure how the dark Irish humour would land with an American audience, but alas it did! The response was incredible, and I was so proud to be in the mix with such an inspiring calibre of filmmakers.


“I was finally able to credit my mother-in-law, who baked batch after batch of 'Hollywood dough' and to my husband, Vinny Breslin, who not only did the clandestine, cross-border handover (who dropped the kids off in Fermanagh with their grandparents in exchange for brown bread dough) but also became our on-set baker.”
