WATCH: Moment Jake Carter proposes to Karen Byrne on RTE Dancing With The Stars set
There were tears of joy on the RTE Dancing With The Stars dancefloor during the week as singer Jake Carter popped the question to show judge Karen Byrne.
The pair met on the show when they were partnered together seven years ago and have been in a relationship ever since. Karen was a pro dancer on the show since the beginning before becoming a judge on the current series.
Jake Carter, brother of country music star Nathan Carter, surprised Karen as she was taking part in a promotional photo shoot for the show. He got down on one knee and popped the question.
He said: "Seven years ago, we met on this dancefloor and both of our lives changed forever, so I thought it was the perfect place to come back and ask you, Karen, will you marry me?"
