Who will be crowned Longford's All Time Great... it's Jillian McNulty versus Ray Flynn - two legends in their own right!
After four weeks of intense voting, and the elimination of fourteen top personalities, we now know the identity of the two people that will contest the grand final and battle it out for the coveted crown of Longford's All Time Great.
The semi-final results are in and the voting was fast and furious up until the close of polls on Sunday, February 17 at 12 midnight.
In our Longford's All Time Great - Semi-final Poll #1, cystic fibrosis campaigner Jillian McNulty was the firm favourite with voters and she garnered 67% of the votes to the 33% accumulated by exceptional sportsman and community activist Padraic Gearty.
Irish mile record holder Ray Flynn, who completed 89 sub-four minute miles during his illustrious career, won the sprint finish as he captured 60% of the vote, with 40% going to Marguerite Donlon, who is known the world over for her innovative and contemporary choreography.
The search for Longford's All Time Great started out with sixteen outstanding personalities and the race is now down to two following the completion of the semi-final voting.
