‘He is now in end of life care’: Heartbroken family appeals for public’s help to bring son home to Ireland

A heartbroken family has appealed for help in bringing back their sick son back home to Ireland.
Dublin native Stephen Hynes, aged 44, suddenly took sick in California and is now receiving end of life care. According to his family, he is expected to pass “in the next few days”.
“As many of our friends and family are aware, last Monday morning we received a call to turn our lives upside down our son and brother Stephen took sick very suddenly in California where he lives and he is now in end of life care where he is expected to pass in the next few days at the young age of 44,” said Stephen’s family.
Stephen grew up in Artane, Co Dublin, and moved to California in 2007.
“He is a huge part of everyone’s lives and he is so loved by his wife, children, mam, brother, sisters nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins and a large group of friends in Ireland and in California,” they added.
“We as a family are honouring Stephen’s wishes to be brought home and laid to rest with his dad so we have set up this GoFundMe to help bring Stephen home to Ireland where he belongs and loved by so many.”
