It may have been cold and raining but people from all over the county gathered on the streets of Longford town this afternoon for a most colourful and funfilled St Patrick's Day parade.
President of Longford Chamber of Commerce, Damien Scanlon said the occasion was a celebration of all communities in the county.
He also called on everyone to keep up the good work and continue in their efforts to make Longford a "great county" in which to live and work in.
St Patrick himself also dropped in for the festivities and children and adults alike donned hats, face paints and flags to mark this very special annual event.
