The recent death has occurred peacefully at Sligo University Hospital surrounded by her loving family following a short illness bravely borne on Monday, September 14, 2026 of Imelda Guckian (nee McGuire) Derrywillow, Aughamore, Carrick on Shannon, Co. Leitrim and formerly Lanesborough, Co. Longford.
Predeceased by her loving husband Padraig, parents Mary and John McGuire, siblings James, Michael, John, Matty, Mary and Sr. Ann. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sons Frank (Yvonne), John (Clare) daughters Marie Clarke (Kevin), Annette Cosgrave (Neil), sister Sr, John Elizabeth (Poor Clare Convent, Arundel, UK), sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, grandchildren Eoin, Ella, Melissa, Mia, Hannah, Jack, Alicia and Evelyn, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. May Imelda Rest in Peace.
Removal to St. Mary’s Church, Annaduff on Wednesday, September 16 with the family in attendance from 6pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday, September 17 at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House private to family, neighbours and friends please.
