Bilberry Sunday is an old Irish tradition celebrated on the last Sunday of July.

Ardagh Tidy Towns has thanked everyone who took part in the Bilberry Walk, an annual event that celebrates a valued local tradition.

The group also congratulated the latest winner of its 50/50 draw, Aidan Dowler, who won a prize of €180.

Ardagh Tidy Towns also reminded people that the more entries received, the bigger the prize pot, with envelopes available to collect from Lyons Shop.

The group is also encouraging volunteers to get involved in helping to keep Ardagh looking its best, with members meeting every Wednesday at 7pm at the village green.
