The Longford ladies footballers are still on cloud nine following their recent All-Ireland Final triumph.

Members of the victorious squad, with The West County Hotel Cup proudly in their clutches, were honoured at the Midlands Simon Community Longford People of the Year awards function in association with Kiernan Structural Steel Ltd and the Longford Leader last week in the Longford Arms Hotel.

Heroic Longford captured the All-Ireland junior crown for the first time since 1997 when they dramatically came from behind and sealed a magnificent 4-10 to 1-12 victory over Antrim at Croke Park on Sunday, September 25 last.

In this video, Eimear Dooley (Ballymahon/Forney) tells MC Joe Flaherty (Longford Leader) about how things have been for the squad since their All-Ireland Final victory.
