Three man are held at Longford Garda station over a ramming incident in Shroid yesterday. A garda car as well as two private cars were rammed during the incident which occurred at 5. 20 yesterday evening.

Longford-Westmeath TD Robert Troy has flagged a growing overcrowding problem at Mullingar Regional Hospital courtesy of information given to him by the HSE.

In Sport, Laois boss Justin McNulty names an experienced starting line-up to face Longford in Pearse Park on Sunday.
