PAWS Animal Rescue have issued a warning to residents in Longford town, after it was discovered bogus collectors had been calling to houses claiming to be collecting money for the charity.

In sport, Longford’s U-21s recorded a famous victory against Dublin the quarter-finals of the Leinster Championship, while the senior team continues to struggle in the National Football League. In soccer, Longford Town have made a perfect start to their season, beating Salthill Devon 5-0 in their league opener, whilst also winnint 2-0 against Athlone Town in the EA Sports Cup.
