The oval ball protagonists had their first attempt at the crossbar challenge last week as we travelled to the rugby club to capture Longford RFC’s attempt at hitting the crossbar.
We gave them the choice of taking a penalty-style shot off the tee, a drop-kick, or a garryowen-type shot. They plumped for the first option.
Let’s see if they could fare any better than their Gaelic Football brethren. Granard still set the pace with three successful attempts...
