PV’s to host Celtic Supporters AGM

Andy’s Bhoys Longford Celtic Supporters Club, based in Murph’s Bar, will host the Annual General Meeting of the Association of Irish Celtic Supporters Clubs (AICSC) in Longford next weekend, September 8.

Set up in 1998, the AICSC’s aim is to bring all the various supporters clubs in Ireland together as one and assist with fans in travelling to both home and away games in Scotland and Europe.

This year Andy’s Bhoys CSC have been given the opportunity to host this year’s AGM in Longford, which will see Celtic supporters from all across the country converge on PV’s in Longford.

The AGM itself will be held in the Red Room on Saturday at 2.30pm followed by light refreshments afterwards in Murph’s.

On Saturday night, one of Ireland’s best known Celtic bands ‘Celtic Storm’ will be playing live in Murph’s Bar. There will be a raffle with spot prizes being kindly donated by businesses around the town. The main prize on the night is a Celtic jersey signed by the first team. All the proceeds go to charity and the beneficiaries on this occasion will be the Longford Hospice.

Tickets are on sale now from behind the bar in Murph’s for €2 each, three tickets for €5, or one can purchase a book of five tickets for €8.

Andy’s Bhoys wish to thank Michael Murphy and the staff in Murph’s Bar, PV’s Bar and Restaurant, the Longford Arms Hotel, Peter Clarke’s, MB Coy’s Bar, Tony Carr and Carla’s Barber Shop for their support.
