Two changes on the Longford team to face Cavan

There are a couple of changes on the Longford team to face Cavan in Round 2 of the National Football League Division 3 at Kingspan Breffni Park on Saturday evening, throw-in 7pm, with Longford Slashers duo Dermot Brady and Niall Mulligan selected to start in place of Peter Foy and Paul Kelly respectively.

A hamstring strain sustained by Kelly in the closing stages of last Sunday’s most emphatic win over Offaly rules him out and that is another blow for Longford taking into account that Brian Kavanagh, Francis McGee and Martin Brady are also on the injured list.

Both Dermot Brady and Niall Mulligan were brought on against Offaly with Mulligan scoring the second Longford goal close to the final whistle. Brady will command the right-corner-back position in the clash against Cavan while Mulligan will feature at left-half-forward in the absence of the injured Kelly.
