A well-taken penalty goal from Clonguish full-forward Joe O’Brien in the 7th minute proved to be the difference as the Newtownforbes side earned a hard fought win over Dromard in the Senior Football Championship Round 3 game at the Monaduff grounds in Drumlish on Sunday evening.

Livewire forward Kevin Burke was going through when he was fouled by Dromard defender John Sheridan and O’Brien stepped up to duly dispatch the spot-kick past opposing keeper Damien Sheridan for the decisive only goal of the game.
