Moyne U-16s no match for Moate

Moyne proved no match for Moate Community School, managed by former Westmeath All-Star Dessie Dolan, in Round 2 of the North Leinster Post-Primary Schools U-16 ‘B’ Football Championship at the Rosemount GAA grounds on Monday of last week.
Playing against a strong gale force wind in the first half, Moyne struggled to make any impact and Moate CS completely dominated the first half to lead by 13 points at the break.

While Moyne did battle back in the second half with points from Shane Hamilton, Danny Connelly (two frees), Danny McGivney, Ronan Corr and James McGahern, Moate finish strong to add another 1-4 to their most emphatic tally in the closing stages of this one-sided game.
