Moyne Community School cruised to a landslide win over St. Finian’s Mullingar at the St. Loman’s GAA grounds on Tuesday of last week. It was clearly evident that this North Leinster Schools U-14 ‘B’ Football Championship tie was a complete mis-match from the outset.
Corner-forward Alan McKeon posed a serious threat to the St. Finian’s defence and he scored a hat-trick of goals during the first half action. Trailing by six points at the end of the first quarter, things went from bad to worse for St. Finian’s as the Moyne forwards took full advantage in front of the posts.

A brace of well-taken goals from Dylan McCormack was added to Moyne’s emphatic tally and the rampant north Longford side continued to pile on the pressure in the second half in clocking up a series of points against a very poor St. Finian’s outfit.

MOYNE CS: Paddy Collum; Colin Sexton, James Heslin, Peter Gallagher; Niall McGee, Ciaran McKeon, Mikie Cully; Tristan Noack Hofmann, Mark Hughes; Joseph Hagan, Dylan McCormack, William Tunstead; Alan McKeon, Finbar McAvine, Eamon Keogh.
