Fr Kevin Fallon P.P. offered prayers for all present and remembered deceased members of the Association. Trustees present were: John James Greene, Kathleen Gaffney, James Cox and Mary Byrne who represented her late husband Tom Joe. A large number of past members along with family and friends were present for the occasion, and many stories and events were remembered fondly, some of which had been recorded on video by Eddie Freyne all of 30 years ago. A terrific evening was had by all and enhanced greatly with tea and refreshments. As the pitch enters its last few weeks before it gets its first sets of studs the all important fence is being erected and the footpaths are currently being put in. The fence is currently being erected and it has to be said will be make the pitch surroundings look excellent. The footpaths not only will make the place neat and tidy and safe for our members and visitors but will also complete a walkway the whole way around the perimeter of the fence and pitch including around both goals and both sidelines. This will no doubt be an asset to the club for training and exercise purposes. As soon as the fence is up and the goals are up and everything is in order the dream will soon become a reality.
