2010 Longford GAA Championships draw

The draws for the 2010 Longford Senior, Intermediate and Junior Championships were made at the County Board Meeting in Aras Ui Bhriain, Pearse Park on Wednesday night.

Group 1

Round 1: Clonguish v Ardagh St. Patrick's; Mullinalaghta St. Columba's v Killoe Young Emmets

Round 2: Killoe v Clonguish; Ardagh v Mullinalaghta

Round 3: Clonguish v Mullinalaghta; Ardagh v Killoe

Group 2

Round 1: Abbeylara v Colmcille; Sean Connolly's v Cashel

Round 2: Cashel v Abbeylara; Colmcille v Sean Connolly's

Round 3: Abbeylara v Sean Connolly's; Colmcille v Cashel

Group 3

Round 1: Ballymahon v Mostrim; Longford Slashers v Granard St. Mary's

The top two teams in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals, at which stage an open draw will be made to determine the last eight pairings.

All games at neutral venues. Senior Championship scheduled to start on June 11/12/13.

The eight solely Intermediate clubs in the county will battle it out for the Gerry Hennessy Cup as second strings from the senior clubs are excluded. The eventual top two teams in each group will qualify for the semi-finals.

Pat Corrigan Transport 2010 Junior 'A' Football Championship Draw

Group 1: Mullinalaghta St. Columba's, Legan Sarsfields, Fr. Manning Gaels, Killoe Young Emmets.

Group 2: Killashee St. Brigid's, Colmcille, Dromard, Sean Connolly's.

Group 3: Carrickedmond, Longford Slashers, Young Grattans, Kenagh.

Group 4: Ardagh St. Patrick's, Clonguish, Moydow Harpers, Ballymahon, Cashel.

Moydow Harpers are the only solely Junior club left in the county and they are joined in the 2010 Junior 'A' Championship by second and third strings from sixteen other clubs.

This competition will initially operate on a league round-robin basis with the eventual top two teams in each group qualifying for the quarter-finals.
