Longford Town ICA Guild

Our December meeting takes place on Wednesday 5th at 7.30pm in Templemichael College (Vocational School). Members please bring Christmas Raffle Tickets and money.

1st Prize; Christmas Hamper, 2nd Prize; Christmas Cake; 3rd Prize; Bottle Whiskey, 4th Prize Tin Biscuits. One of our member’s will demonstrate how to do a Christmas Flower Arrangement. The winners of last Lotto were, Eugene Farrell, Moydow Ballymacormack ICA and Lillian Walsh, Ballynamuck, each won 20 Euro. Jackpot not won. Next Lotto draw takes place on Wednesday night 5th. Our guild will celebrate it’s 60 Anniversary in January, We are in the process of organising an event and would appreciate former members who wish to attend same to contact me. Stay & Play Toddler Group

Stay & Play Toddler Group, for all children aged 3 years and under, is currently meeting in the hall to the rear of Longford Methodist, Battery Road from 10am to 12pm every Tuesday, during term time. There is plenty to entertain young minds while mums, dads, grandparents or carers can relax and have a cup of tea or coffee and a chat. Spread the word and come along. Cost €2 per session. Carol Service

The students of Meanscoil Mhuire present their annual Carol Service on Monday December 10th at 8pm in St Mels Cathedral Centre. All are welcome to attend this seasonal celebration.

Parish Cells of Evangelisation

Longford Parish Cells of Evangelisation meet every second Wednesday night, in various locations in Longford Town. Their next meeting is on Wednesday night Dec 5th at 8 pm. The meeting lasts for approximately one to one and a half hours and consists of opening prayer, singing some hymns of praise, reading Scripture passage, usually the gospel reading of the following Sunday, sharing on the understanding of the Scripture reading followed with a teaching on cd. The meeting concludes with prayers of intercession and a cup of tea. Everybody most welcome Catholics and non catholics alike. Wiggle and Grow classes

Kindermusik with Jo presents Wiggle & Grow, family classes in Longford Library, for babies and children up to 5 years old with age appropriate curriculum and quality home materials, which include all the music from the classes, stories, activity books, instruments and much more!! On Friday mornings from 10:30-11:20 Wiggle & Giggle for 18-36 month olds; 11:30-12:15 Colours & Shapes on the Farm for 3 and 4 year olds.
