Lotto Draw: St. Columba’s G.F.C held their weekly lotto draw in The Hideaway on Wednesday 28st November. Winning numbers were 4, 15, 20, 21 with jackpot of €1400 remaining intact. Next draw will take place in The Angler’s Rest with a jackpot of €1450.

Ladies Footballers: As part of their fundraising activities the local ladies football club are holding a weekly draw based on the bonus ball in the main draw of the national lottery. Sheets are on sale in the local shops or are available from club members. Match the bonus number in Saturday’s night draw you will earn yourself €20. Lines are just €2. Six monthly tickets are available for €50 by contacting Marie Matthews. Your support would be very much appreciated each week. The number drawn on Saturday 24th November was 19 with Lily Donohoe, Derrycasson earning herself €20.

Monster Draw: Once again St. Columba’s G.F.C and Mullinalaghta Community Centre committee have joined forces for their annual Christmas draw. As usual there are some excellent prizes up for grabs. 1st prize is a 32’’ Flatscreen TV. 2nd Massive Christmas Hamper. 3rd Sunday Lunch for two in Pikers Lodge. There are numerous other prizes such as bottles of brandy, whiskey, plum pudding and Christmas candle. Also included are vouchers for Reflexology, Chiropody, Hairdressing and meat. Draw will take place on Sunday 16th December. Tickets are just €2 each or three for €5. Tickets are available in all the local shops and from committee members associated with community centre and football club.

Christmas Play: On this Saturday 8th December the Christmas play will take place in the local community centre following Vigil Mass. The children of the parish have been rehearsing diligently since late September. Preparations are well underway to take to the stage. There has been strange reports that little Red Riding Hood and little Bo Peep have been observed going into the hall for practice. We will have to wait and see.
