CHRISTMAS CHURCH SERVICES: Church of Holy Family Gowna Christmas Eve Mass at 8pm. Christmas Day Mass at 11am. Mullinalaghta Mass on Christmas Eve at 6pm.Church of Ireland service on Christmas Day at 11.30am Gowna Church. Fr PJ Fitzpatrick and Revd Hazel Hicks wish all parishioners a happy and peaceful Christmass.

COUNTY LONGFORD RURAL TRANSPORT: Longford Community Resources Ltd (LCRL) manage and administer the rural transport programme which covers the rural regions of county Longford. Many thanks to all stakeholders who have supported and campaigned for the continuation of the programme throughout the year. Spaces are still available for this door to door service in your area. Please contact your local provider or Seamus (coordinator) at 043 334555.All age groups welcome. All routes for 2012 will be completed by Saturday 29 December. Services for 2013 resume on Wednesday 2nd January. FISHING COMPETITION: Lough Gown /Upper Erne Anglers will host the Les Moulins du Temple Open Boat Pike fishing competition on Thursday 27th December on Derries lake. Fishing from 11am to 4pm. For further information contact Ciaran on 086 8597156.
