Pat Fitzgerald will be inaugurated as the new president of the Irish Rugby Football Union this Friday, July 19.
Mr Fitzgerald is a former player, past president and current trustee of Longford RFC and he will have the distinction of being the first IRFU president to come from a junior club.
Longford RFC will host a special celebration dinner in the Sin Bin at the club’s grounds on Saturday, July 27.
