Longford man heaps praise on public after fundraising events raise €6,000 for Huntingdon's Association

Longford man Joe Doran, together with his mother Pauline and sister Anne, would like to thank everyone who supported their fundraising walk at Lough Key Forest Park; those who travelled long distances  from London, Galway, Cork, Kerry and Laois and all the locals.

The family would also like to thank all who donated items for the Clara Market (including money and transport); the driver, and those who gave of their time to organise and man the stalls.

A special word of thanks to the Managers of those venues for their help and co-operation.

“We wish to thank all those who did the mini-marathon and all the people who sponsored the walkers,” the family added. “We thank Carol Lee and her team for organising Clara Market and whipping the team into readiness for the mini-marathon.”

All of these events together raised almost €6,000 for the Huntington's Disease Association and Joe, Pauline and Anne reserved a special thanks for the quiet support provided by what they called the  “Underground Crew”.
