A good week for Ardagh Bowls, Ardagh A team played B team in the first round of Westmeath league, the A team had a narrow victory over the Bs especially in one match as young Edward Powell, a new member played a stormer and almost defeated his Dad’s team only losing by 9 shots to eight. Special thanks to Frank McNamee for turning out at short notice for the B team. On Wednesday next 23rd Ardagh A team travel to Ballymore, meet at village at 7.40. B team have a bye. The following week the 31st, Ardagh B have a home match v Ballymore and the A team have a bye.
Every Wednesday evening from 6 to 8pm Eucharist Adoration takes place in St. Brigid’s Church.

St Mel’s Parents Association
St Mel’s Parents Association will be holding our annual Halloween party in Ardagh community centre from 6 till 8pm on Thursday 31st October. All welcome. Admission 2 euro per child, adults free. Tea and coffee served for parents. We would also like to thank everyone who gave so generously at our recent church gate collection your support is much appreciated. We recently held our AGM in the school thanks again to all who attended the meeting. Computer Coding Camp
Alert Learning is offering an introduction to computer programming (Python & HTML) 3 day camp (Oct 29th, 30th & 31st) in the Longford Enterprise Centre this Halloween break. Morning sessions are available for kids 9-13 years and afternoon sessions are scheduled for secondary school students. A computer demonstrator from NUI Maynooth will be on site throughout the camp.
