A Rita Nannery Memorial Walk will take place on Sunday next September 22nd in the Mullahoran/Kilcogy area. Proceeds to Bothar and the local Apostolic Society. Registration begins at 10.30 at Mullahoran Church and closes at 12.15, €10 to enter, under 16yrs old free, refreshments provided on the day, please register early and come with appropriate clothing so Walk can start in time. Open to all ages and all levels of fitness.
Computer Classes for Farmers
Cavan Adult Learning Centre are offering Beginner Computer classes for Farmers in the Community Centre in Mullahoran on Monday evening commencing 30th September at 7.00pm. The AGM will be held on Wednesday 25th September in the Millenium Bar, Ballinagh at 8.30 pm. Deadline for all teams is Sunday 22nd September, entry fee per pub is €70. All roads lead to Breffni park this Friday evening when our senior team will need to pull out all the stops against Cavan Gaels to get to the semi final. Good luck to the lads who no doubt will give it their all. Also tour minor team who play Laragh on Saturday in Crosskeys and u16 team who take on Drumlane on Monday next in Breffni. Well done to near neighbours Lacken who are battling hard to stay in the championship and their next game against Ballinagh should be a big local attraction.
Ladies All Ireland
Men and women of the parish - gear up for the All Ireland Ladies Final on the 29th of September. Get your tickets and head to Croke Park to support the women of Cavan. A big congratulations to Mona Sheridan, Geraldine Sheridan and Aisling Sheridan who are representing our parish on the team/panel. Best of luck to the girls. National Coffee Day
In aid of St Christopher’s Hospice Cavan in the home of Grainne Lovett Mullahoran on Thursday 19th September From 12 noon until 9pm.
Is expressed to the wife Kathleen and family of the late John McKiernan, Drumkeeran, Cornafean who died recently aged 84. Deceased was a highly respected member of the farming community and his passing has left a void in the area. Sympathy is also expressed to the wife Margaret (nee Harten, Cloncovid) and family of the late Padraig Halton, Rathoath and formerly of Loch Gowna who passed away recently. May their souls rest in peace.
