The marriage took place on Friday last in St. Brigid’s Church of Alexandra McCormack, Ardagh Village and Steven O’Sullivan, Tipperary. The ceremony was performed by Fr. Pat Lennon. Bestman was Sammy Ryan, Groomsmen were Richard Hale and Lee Cashin. Alexandra’s bridesmaids were Irene Murphy, Karen Casserly and Gina Gartlan. The reception was held in The Landmark Hotel, Carrick on Shannon. Congratulations to Alexandra and Steven and may they enjoy a lifetime of happiness.

ICA meeting

Longford ICA will hold an open information evening in the Ardagh Heritage Centre on Wednesday, 17th September at 8pm. All women who would like to know what ICA do are invited. Interest has been expressed in opening a Guild in Ardagh. So all the information needed will be provided at this meeting. There is no onus to join.

Irish Dancing

Irish dancing classes will resume in Ardagh Community Centre on Tuesday, 16th September. Session 1 at 5.45pm, Session 2 at 6.45pm. Newcomers welcome at both sessions. No wigs, fake tans or make up for dancers. Children can dance for competition or enjoyment. Parents welcome to stay at classes if they wish.
