New school for Edgeworthstown

Construction on the new facility at St Mary’s National School in Edgeworthstown will begin in March.

It is understood that the tender report is currently being examined by the Department of Education & Skills after additional information was submitted.

The project will include the demolition of the existing primary school building and removal of pre-fabricated structures to make way for a new two-storey, 20 classroom school with eight special tuition rooms.
