Athlone, who are just above them Athy on the league table, caused a shock result on their recent visit to Longford, so caution will be thrown to the winds with this Kildare club’s visit. So why not come along and lend your support game tip-off 3.30.

The semi final draw for the Midland Cup was made recently, the women’s Portlaoise side take on Carlow IT, Portlaoise Coppers will play Longford Falcons in the semi the second Portlaoise team ‘Silvers’ taking on Old Leighlin. Is it going to be an all Portlaoise final? Date, I believe, will the weekend of March 8th for the semis with the finals down for the following day, venue to be decided.
