Semi-Final 1: Pacers v Shams, 8pm. Pacers, after securing two decisive victories over LD Eagles and Warriors, went top of the table with a six game winning streak. They entertain the Shams in the first of tonight’s (Wednesday) semi-finals which could turn out to be a closely contested affair.

Semi-Final 2: Team Gala v Warriors, 9pm. We have another interesting encounter in the second semi-final between Team Gala and Warriors and the latter may have the edge here. Plate Semi-Final: Team Nally v LD Eagles, 7pm

Three pointer competition: The closing date for the three pointer event is tonight Wednesday 3rd July and all names should be submitted by then. So far we have five teams sending in their hot shooters which should create some lot interest. This event will take place Wednesday 10th July between both the Plate and League Finals.

Summer Sessions: Please take note our summer session commences this weekend for boys/girls ageing between 15-18 year old, and will continue with the focus on working with various teams involved in both the North East and Midland leagues. This is a special programme particularly laid out for leading into the coming new season and all sessions will take place in a fun and safe environment with the emphasis on enjoyment, skills etc. Boys and girls age fifteen up to eighteen interested in playing for the following season will be obliged to attend the session. Times as follows: Sat.10am-11.30am boys 15-18; 11.00- 1pm girls 15-18.

Longford Summer Hoops Camp: Summer and pre-season basketball camp will take place from 12th – 15th August, daily from 10am-4pm. Application camp forms are out and can be got at any of our sessions or by contacting 085-2851416 or leave message on our facebook.

Community Games Finals: Taking place next weekend will be the Leinster Community Games finals and for the first time ever will be hosted by Longford, so well done to all those involved for getting these finals held here. On the basketball side of things these games will be held between Ballymahon and Edgeworthstown and we wish all those taking part the best of luck.
