editorial image

A fundraising event in aid of Kenagh Community Games takes place on Sunday, October 21st at 5pm at Gav’s Bar in Kenagh Village.

This special event coincides with the return of the X-Factor to our TV screens and gives children from the area who are under 14 years of age the chance to showcase their talents in front of a special X-Factor panel.

The event is sponsored by several local businesses including main sponsor Kepak Group, Ballymahon and the contestant who impresses the judge the most will come away with a €50 cash prize and the chance to represent Kenagh at county level. The runner-up will receive €30 and two third place prizes of €20 each are also up for grabs. O’Boyle’s Store, Egan’s Electrical, Newman’s Pub (all Kenagh) and Nally’s Garage, Ballymahon have all kindly sponsored a prize each.

A raffle will also take place on the evening with a host of prizes and refreshments available on the night. These are kindly sponsored by Natural Beauty, Ballymahon, Dunnes Stores Longford, Supervalu (Longford and Ballymahon), Tesco Longford and Egan’s Tyres, Ballymahon.

The entry date has since passed, but the remaining few tickets still remain on sale at O’Boyle’s Store in Kenagh. For any further enquiries, please contact Jane on 086 3856324.
