The Longford GAA County Board is to discuss the possibility of dividing Templemichael Parish, which has three clubs: Longford Slashers, Shroid Slashers and Grattan Og.

Killoe Young Emmets retained their U-21 ‘A’ Championship title after a convincing win over Fr Manning Gaels.

Longford Slashers have beaten Dromard in the semi-final of the Leader Cup to set up a repeat of this year’s County Final fixture against Killoe.

Emmet Og’s Padraig McCormack has been named Longford’s GAA Senior Player of the Year.

There will be four contests for positions on the 2013 Longford GAA Executive, including the chairman’s post, with Pat Donnelly and Brendan Gilmore both seeking election to the position.
