Video: A visit to the ISPCA

Waiting for Video...

The Longford Leader recently paid a visit to the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at their National Animal Centre in Kenagh, Co Longford.

During the tour of the facility, the Leader spoke to various members of staff about their roles with the charity, and saw many of the rescued animals under their care, including Spirit the pony, Maeve the cat, Gisele the rabbit, and Neil the dog.

The centre in Kenagh also acts as the organisation’s head office, with the location chosen because it is convenient for people travelling from any part of the country.

Each month the ISPCA’s cruelty helpline receives more than 1,000 calls from concerned members of the public.
