Vandals strike new bypass

Gardai are carrying out an investigation after vandals daubed graffiti on three bridges along the new N5 bypass in Longford.

The incidents occurred on Tuesday night at the Lisbrack bridge, the railway bridge and the river bridge. Gardai are asking for anyone with information to come forward and contact them.

The contractors, Wills Brothers, have responsibility for the structures and will clean-up the sites at no cost to the Co Council.
