Tremor felt in south Leitrim

The Irish National Seismic Network (INSN) has appealed for anyone who may have felt a slight earth tremor in the south Leitrim area on the morning of last Friday, January 11th to contact them.

The tremor was reported to have been felt by locals in the Mohill/Eslin area just before 7am.

The INSN confirmed this week that they will await their monthly report from regional stations, but their closest centres in Donegal and Galway may be too far away to report any incident in the south Leitrim area.

The INSN can be contacted via their website dias.ie.
