St John's Church gives thanks following revamp

Following the restoration works at St John's Church in Longford town, a Thanksgiving Service is to be held on Thursday, September 3 at 8pm in the Church. This very special service has been organised to commemorate and thank those who have helped to restore the Church to its former glory.

The service will mark the end of a six year journey for St John's Church, during which time the Church received a p500,000 facelift.

The refurbishment at St John's was undertaken in a series of phases over the past six years and the finished project came in well under the original projected cost of p1m.

In honour of those who helped to restore the Church in any way, St John's is hosting the special service on Thursday, tomorrow, at 8pm.

Refreshments will be served after the ceremony.
